Logline : A short (often one or two sentence) description of your story idea. It is used to describe your story quickly and with punch to producers, agents, investors, and anyone else who wants to know.

Synopsis : A one-page or longer version of your story in prose. It's purpose is to make someone want to read the script.

Backstory : Your main character's life history as it relates to the events that take place in your story. It helps you and your audience understand your character's motivations and what truly drives their behavior.
